Provider guide

What happens between listing something and being paid for it, and the parts people are usually surprised by.

Listing

A listing needs a title, a description, at least one photo, a location and at least one rate before it can go live. The wizard saves as you go, so you can stop and come back — and it tells you what is still missing on the step where the field is, rather than at the end.

Your exact address is never published. Renters see the town and an approximate circle on the map; the precise address is released only once a booking is confirmed, and only to that renter. You can drag or click the map pin to set the exact pickup point.

Pricing and fees

You set the rate. Lendify takes 7% of the rental subtotal, and the renter pays a separate 5% service fee on top of your price. So on a $100 rental you receive $93.00 and the renter pays $105.00.

On very small bookings the commission can be less than what the card network charges us to process the payment. In that case the fee rises to cover the processing cost and no more — it never exceeds the rental subtotal, and your payout is never negative.

Add rates for each period you want to offer. Renters are automatically charged the cheapest legal combination, so nobody ever pays more for six days than for seven.

Security deposits

A deposit is held against the renter's card — authorised, not charged — for up to 6 days. It is released automatically when the rental completes without a claim.

If something is damaged, open a dispute from the booking before the inspection window closes. Claims are decided case by case, and the deposit is the mechanism used to settle them. Lendify does not insure your item and does not guarantee its condition — the deposit and your own insurance are the protection that exists.

Getting paid

Payouts run through Stripe. You will need to complete their onboarding — identity and bank details — before any money can be sent; you can list and take bookings before that, but the balance will sit until it is done.

Money from a completed rental is pending for a day after completion, then becomes available to withdraw. That window exists so either side can raise a problem before funds leave the platform. The Pending card on your earnings page shows the exact date each amount clears.

Withdrawals go to your bank and typically settle in one to two business days. Each currency is paid out separately — they are never combined.

Cancellations

You choose a cancellation policy per listing, and it is shown to renters before they book. The refund a cancellation produces is calculated from that policy and the time remaining, and both sides see the exact figure before confirming.

Cancelling bookings you have accepted damages your standing with renters and is visible in your response statistics. If you cannot honour a booking, say so early.

Tax

Lendify does not generate tax documents and does not give tax advice. You are responsible for reporting your own income. You can export your full earnings history from Settings → Privacy.

The figures on this page are read live from the platform's own settings, so they match what you will actually be charged. The terms of service govern where the two ever differ.
